You vs. The World

Jesse

Have you ever felt as though you’re the only sane person in your world?

As if everyone around you is taking crazy pills?

Have you ever felt as though you’re the most misunderstood person in the world?

That’s probably one of the most frustrating experiences – being misunderstood and all the heartache that follows.

Well I’m here to tell you that we all go through seasons in life; those that are deathly cold, blistering hot or pleasantly calm. God can, and if you let Him, will, take the good out of any given predicament. It just takes a little bit of time most of the time.

This experience of you vs. the w0rld can come in many shapes and forms:

It could be in a small church where the ministry your “leading” is micromanaged to the point where you’re just a puppet.

It could be in a large church where no matter what you do no one seems to care or even notice.

In school where no matter what you write, present or test you’re just average.

It could be in a relationship where no matter what you say you’re doomed; at your job where all you are is a statistic on a daily report; within your own family or circle of friends.

Many other examples can obviously apply but I want to keep this one short and sweet.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

God has many victories ahead for you. Hold true to your trust in Jesus Christ. We all go through seasons of life – some good, some bad. Hold on tightly to your faith.

Even though it seems that the world is against you, I challenge you to pray.

Talk to God and wait for His response. For He is the only One that can give your troubled heart peace and your soul strength.
